Follow the steps below to update the new password and encrypt them.

• Modify the $DOCUMENTUM/dba/config/dbpasswd.txt file by removing the encrypted information so that the entire line is blank, then type in the new password in clear text.
• Next, go into the $DM_HOME/bin folder and run:
  
  dm_encrypt_password -docbase -rdbms -encrypt

  1	dm_encrypt_password -docbase -rdbms -encrypt

• Confirm that the dbpasswd.txt is now encrypted.
• Now you can restart the docbase and IDQL/IAPI and webtop/DA logins should work.
